Disclosure: I was fortunate enough to be invited to a small blogger event at the BJ’s Wholesale Club in Pineville, NC, where we toured the store, sampled some of their yummy food and treats, and was provided with a small budget to do a 10 minute “Secret Santa” shopping spree for one of my fellow bloggers. (That was fun!) But all opinions in this post are my own.
I woke up yesterday morning full of anxiety. I couldn’t pinpoint why until I looked at the calendar and realized I had only 5 days until our game night house party, I haven’t planned anything for Christmas dinner yet and there are only 10 more shopping days until Christmas! (Not to mention I have a stack of Christmas Cards I haven’t finished–I DID get a few mailed out last week).
I HATE shopping during the holiday rush. I avoid the mall like the plague and I try to do most of my shopping either in the small shops downtown, at craft shows or online. But this year I just haven’t had a ton of time for Christmas shopping and when I have gone, I haven’t found what I’m looking for.
I was really beginning to panic, thinking about how I was going to have to run all over creation getting things for the party, our Christmas dinner AND finish my barely started Christmas shopping. And because I waited so long I’m going to have to fight the crowds to get what I need! Such a nightmare.
Then I remembered, I have the answer!! I know a place where I can get ALL of my shopping done in one stop! BJ’s Wholesale Club!
I’m a huge fan of BJ’s Wholesale Club. I’ve been shopping there since I was a nanny in Connecticut back in the early 90s. I always buy my tires at BJ’s (unless of course we live in an area that doesn’t have one. I’m talking about you Williamsburg, VA!) And with five growing children who seem to eat enough food to feed a football team, I buy a lot of their bulk sized products. So I felt like I was pretty well informed about the club. But I was very surprised how much I didn’t about BJ’s Wholesale Club.
For those of you who don’t know what BJ’s Wholesale Club is, here is a little background.
“BJ’s Wholesale Club is a one-stop shopping destination for name brand, high- quality food and merchandise at prices that are significantly lower than supermarkets, supercenters, department stores, drug stores and specialty retail stores.
Headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts, BJ’s is a leading operator of warehouse clubs in the eastern U.S., currently with 206 clubs and 119 gas stations in 15 states. Learn more and shop online at www.BJs.com, and for exclusive content visit www.Facebook.com/bjswholesaleclub, www.Twitter.com/bjswholesale and http://www.pinterest.com/bjswholesale.”
BJ’s is filled with everything you need to host an amazing party, decorate your home inside and out AND fill the empty space under the Christmas Tree!
From their frozen appetizers you simply pop into the oven, to beautiful disposable tableware that looks like fine china and silver, BJ’s has everything I need to make my party stress free and FUN! For once, I’m not going to be chained to my stove making food while everyone else is enjoying the party.
Looking for a great teacher or hostess gift? BJ’s has something for everyone… wonderful gift sets, books, and even discounted gift cards. My favorite thing to do is “dinner and a movie”. I buy gift card for a restaurant and pair it with an AMC Theaters Gift card!
BJ’s is not your typical wholesale club!
BJ’s carries the most product variety of any other wholesale club with more than 7,500 items, including smaller packaged staples in addition to bulk sizes. AND BJ’s is the only wholesale club to accept all manufacturers’ coupons in addition to in-club coupons (YES!! you can stack them to save even more!) and for greater convenience, offers the most payment options including Apple Pay and EBT.
BJ’s Wholesale Club has an amazing selection of organic and natural foods, including fruit, milk and meats, and the Pineville location has the busiest deli in North Carolina where you can order deli platters, sandwiches and 3-foot subs made with top-quality name-brand meats and cheeses. On top of that BJ’s has an in house bakery that provides fresh-baked cookies, pastry assortments, and delicious custom-order cakes made exactly to your specifications.
So tomorrow morning after the girls have been dropped off at school, I’m heading straight to BJ’s to finish all my shopping.
Oh, hey! Did you ever wonder what happens to products that don’t sell? Well guess what? BJ’s Gives Back!
At BJ’s, what they don’t sell, they share. Through BJ’s Feeding Communities Program, the Clubs donate millions of pounds of food each year — including fresh produce, baked goods, frozen meats and fish, and dairy — to help support 45 food banks in the 15 states BJ’s serves. This year, BJ’s achieved a major milestone by donating 15 million pounds of nutritious food to local food banks since the program began in November 2011. The 15 million pounds of food equates to 12 million meals to feed people who struggle to provide adequate food for their families.
Plus, through charitable giving, community relations programs, product donations and grants from BJ’s Charitable Foundation®, BJ’s supports and enhances programs that provide vital services within each community. That’s right, it goes to your local community!
In the spirit of giving, BJ’s Wholesale Club in Pineville is giving away a one-year Personal Membership, worth $50! Simply use the Rafflecopter form below to enter to win. Open to all US residents (but it is helpful if you have a BJ’s location near you.)
Disclosure: BJ’s Wholesale Club provided me with samples of their products and a gift card to store, but all opinions in this post are my own.

I have officially gotten my whole family hooked on BJ's. All Moo wants to know is when we're going and if she can get her fruit snacks and soy milk. LOL. I kind of wish I had checked them out a long time ago. Better late than never.

I am so impressed with so much that I read, but what really touched my heart the most is the BJ’s Charitable Foundation. I had no idea about it… I really think it needs to be advertised more! I was a member of BJ's Wholesale, but being on disability I can't afford the membership. What a wonderful wonderful foundation! I would LOVE to be able to shop there again! You go BJ's!!! LOVE THEM!! <3

I didn't know and was very surprised to learn that BJs donates food that they don't sell. I'm so glad that the food banks in those areas benefit! I think it would be great if all companies that sell food did the same.
