Today was a gorgeous day. I had all the windows open and was enjoying a day free from A/C, which I’m told is a rarity in North Carolina for August.

The one thing I couldn’t open to let in more air, was the back door. We don’t have a screen door and whenever I open the door all the flying bugs invade my home. We live in a rented house, so I don’t want to spend money on someone elses’ house.

My first impression of the Magnetic Screen Door was very good. The screen mesh is thick and very sturdy. The velcro had a lot of grip and the adhesive was strong enough to stick to the trim, but when I had to remove it to align the door better it came off without ripping off the paint.

The Magnetic Screen Door was super simple to install. I had my husband help me, but you could easily do it all on your own.

I actually really like this door. It works exactly as it states and the only minor issue I found is that we have a metal door so if you walk through the screen really quickly and the door isn’t open all the way, the screen flips back and the magnet grabs ahold of the door.

My dog on the other hand, doesn’t like it at all. He thinks it’s the gate to hell. But I think he will get over it the first time he sees a squirrel on the back patio and I’m not there to open the screen for him.

We had the door open all afternoon and I didn’t find any insects in the house. Big win for us as we move into the fall and will want to keep the door open more.
