Are you a Charlotte mom who wants to learn more about building your child’s self-esteem and character? Join us at Charlotte Parent magazine’s Mom Matters luncheon event series on March 4, 2016. You will be introduced to local experts Katie Overcash with Overcash Theraphy Services and Jen Band with Playing for Others. Katie and Jen will be speaking and answering your questions on how to support your child/children as they develop self-esteem and self-worth.

Meet the Speakers:
Katie H. Overcash, LCSW, Overcash Therapy Services, PLLC
Katie has provided mental health therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families in residential programs, school based programs, and outpatient facilities, and has served as an Outpatient Therapist in private practice since 2009. In December 2012, she opened her own private practice at Overcash Therapy Services, PLLC. Katie has created and facilitated many groups, camps, and workshops to assist children and adolescents in gaining social skills and enhancing self-esteem. She has experience and training in the areas of anxiety, depression, school difficulty, divorce, separation, grief, trauma, self-injury, child abuse, ADHD, parenting, identity development, interpersonal relationships, and self-esteem building.
Jen Band, Playing for Others
Jen Band is the Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit Playing for Others, which supports teens as they become the next generation of innovative leaders, philanthropists, and compassionate human beings. Jen’s zest for life and making an impact in the world was inspired by her time working at camps for children with chronic and terminal illnesses. Her life is a musical, her favorite way to energize is a dance party, and she deeply believes in the power of purpose, passion, and play. And if you give her a cupcake, you’re a friend for life.
