FabKids Summer Tide Outfit: Blue Sunshine Dress size XL, VIP price $19.95, Pyramid Stud Capri Legging size L, VIP price $10.95, Gold Gladiator Sandal size 5 VIP price $24.95

Disclosure: The following is a sponsored post. Although I was supplied an outfit from FabKids in exchange for writing this post, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I only recommend products or services I personally use and believe in.

Well, summer has struck North Carolina with a vengeance (and I know we are not alone)! Two straight weeks of temps in the mid to high 90s, plus a few 100 degree days in there AND almost no rain. Basically the moment the kids got out of school we hit a heat wave that kept them in the house all. day. long.

Finally, the high temps fell to a balmy 88 degrees and we took the opportunity to pack up a quick picnic lunch and enjoy some time outside.

The kids were so excited to play outdoors. Their excitement didn’t last long though. Just enough to eat, play for 15 minutes and then everyone was complaining about the heat.

Everyone, except Annaliese.

Her cotton FabKids Summer Tide Outfit kept her cooler than the rest of us.

Cotton fabric is soft, absorbent and breathable. It wicks moisture away from the body and removes liquid from the skin, like a towel. Best of all cotton is very low maintenance! It sheds odors more easily and is easier to wash and care for than other fabrics.

Did you know cotton has a high tensile strength, making it tough, durable and less likely to rip or tear?  It’s a good thing too, because my girls prefer to climb trees and ride their bikes and scooters over having tea parties.

After an hour of everyone sweating through their clothes, except for Annaliese, we gave up and walked home where we enjoyed rocket pops.

What fun things do you like to do to cool off on a hot summer day?

For us it’s….

I love FabKids. They have incredibly cute clothes, and they don’t wear out. I love that because my kids are total destroyers of clothes.

Mine too, Stacie! It's so nice to find affordable, durable kids clothes. These definitely last long enough to pass down to the younger siblings!

My kids could really use a new retailer when it comes to clothing. They are beginning to outgrow some of our old favorites and each have their own style that I need to accommodate.

Fab Kids makes great kids clothes. They are a great quality. The kids usually outgrow them before they wear out. We like to make a huge slip and slide in the back yard to stay cool.
