weather forecastWell, it’s official! Even if the calendar doesn’t quite agree, summer is here. And it has hit North Carolina with a vengeance.

We are only on day 6 of summer break and I’m ready for fall. What the heck am I going to do to survive the next 10 weeks of “vacation”?!?

It’s too hot to do anything outside.

I’m a fair-skinned redhead convinced I will die from spontaneous combustion if I go outside when it’s over 90. Air conditioning and ice pops are my best friends.

My kids are suffering from cabin fever. And if I have to hear the Spongebob Squarepants theme song one more time I’m going to scream!

So to get away from my monsters 😉 wonderful daughters I decided to run to BJ’s Wholesale Club for my semi-weekly shopping trip.

Wandering around the store killing time before I had to return home, I stumbled across BJ’s seasonal section. Jackpot!

Everything you could want or need to make your kids’ summer break a success AND give you the “Cool Parent” status!Favorite summer activites

First of all, and most importantly IMHO, sunscreen! With a house full of fair-skinned beauties, AND melanoma on both sides of the family, we are extremely conscientious about putting on sunscreen every day. With a family of 7 that is a lot of sunscreen! Thankfully BJ’s sells sunscreen multi-packs at about the same price it would cost to purchase 1 bottle at the grocery store.

BJ’s has something for everyone to help make their summer enjoyable!

Survive the Summer Heat with BJ’s Wholesale Club

Here is just a sampling of what you can purchase for your family summer fun:

Banzai Hang N’10 Racing Slide (water slide), Banzai Book Blaster Battle Pack (water guns), Chalk-a-Doos Deluxe Chalk Tool Set, Jumparoo Air Pogo Jumper, Backyard Safari Adventures Combo Kit, Strato-Slam Rocket Ultimate Set, Build N’ Play Sandbox, Fubbles Big Bubble Bucket Fun Pack.

summer toys

With this hot weather, the water guns were especially fun. And for once, everyone wanted to get sprayed!

waterguns

BJ’s is the only Wholesale club that accepts manufacturer’s coupons!

My kids have been begging me to let them have a lemonade stand so when I saw the giant container of Country Time Pink Lemonade I knew I had to buy it! AND the best part? I had a manufacturer’s coupon, so I saved even more on top of the discounted price.

And who doesn’t LOVE S’mores? We have a great fire pit we bought at BJ’s last year and we have the most fun using it after the sun goes down. In fact, we had a S’mores party, using different kinds of candy and then voted on which one tasted the best. Have you tried making S’mores with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups? OMG they are so good! They are also really good with Rolo’s and York Peppermint Patties! Hands down the Reese’s S’mores were the favorite.

Are you impressed with what BJ’s has to offer? Want to check out all the savings for yourself?

Get a FREE 60-day membership here.

But don’t miss out!

Offer ends July 5th!

And if you’re already a member, refer a friend to join BJ’s Wholesale Club and you’ll both receive a $10 BJ’s gift card when they join.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Complete this registration form, read and agree to the Offer Terms below, and click GO to register.
  2. Invite friends via email, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  3. Once a friend registers online using your link and joins BJ’s, you’ll each receive a $10 BJ’s Gift Card.

Oh this looks like a fun summer package! Wish there was a BJ's near us in San Antonio. I want some of those Strato-Slam rockets.

I hear you on the sunscreen… we went out last week, got all excited about canoeing and forgot the sunscreen. We have all been hurting for several days!

I look forward to seeing your photos of the fun you have with this kit!

I love that BJs has smaller sets of items, but still at the club prices. And they have SO MUCH to choose from.

I know, right?!? For us, since we have a large family, I rarely get out of there under $200! Five kids eat a lot!! I love that you can buy not only bulk items, but smaller sizes too. Because even a family of 7 doesn't need a gallon of ketchup, lol.

OMG the Slip 'n Slide brings back some fun memories from when I was little. It wasn't a fancy one though, just a glorified long shower curtain. But so much fun! This one looks like a much better option.
