My husband, God love him, is a wonderful partner, friend, and father, but he is the WORST gift-giver. Three years ago he bought me a vacuum cleaner for Christmas, and he STILL doesn’t understand why that was a bad gift. Two years ago he bought me a soft, fluffy robe… that was an extra small (but thank you for thinking I could fit in it!) Because my husband had to work on Mother’s Day (he is the Clubhouse Manager at a local country club and Mother’s Day is one of their biggest events of the year) it was up to me to plan something if I wanted to get out of the house. Since moving to the Charlotte area, we haven’t ventured out much aside from a couple of trips to Carowinds and a local spring festival.
