Summertime Blues

  Growing up, I spent a lot of time outdoors.  Especially during the summer months. My brothers and I were outside for as many hours as possible each day, playing with all the other neighborhood kids. Food Advertising by We took swimming lessons in the morning and then spent the rest of the day at the community pool, by ourselves, just like all of our friends. My mom dropped us off and picked us up when we were ready to leave (usually when the pool closed for the day). Counting Blessings

The past 2 years have been pretty difficult for my family. We have moved 3 times, my kids have attended school in 4 different states and my husband has changed jobs 4 times (twice by force due to layoffs). His last stint of unemployment lasted for nine. very. long. months. During this time I was never more appreciative of being self-employed with a career that is completely portable. I can work anywhere that has wifi. No matter where we moved I was able to set up my computer and get back to work almost immediately.
