What’s on Your Vacation Bucket List?

It’s been so long since our family has been on a true any kind of vacation, I can’t remember when or where we went!

With all our moves and the rollercoaster that our lives have been the past few years, I’ve always just focused on just getting through the day. I haven’t let myself even fantasize about a vacation.

But today I received my copy of AFAR Magazine in the mail (I’m not affiliated with them at all, I just love it!) and on the cover it had the most beautiful photo of Mallorca Spain, (Majorca, or Mallorca is an island located in the Mediterranean Sea.) a place my husband and his family used to visit when he was little.

I’ve never created an “official” vacation bucket list, but I’ve always wanted to visit Bora Bora (Tahiti), Bali and Belize. There’s just something about that amazingly clear, blue water, the pristine beaches and stunning sunsets that draws me in.

I know if you asked my kids they would say their dream vacation is Disney World! Not that Disney World isn’t an amazing place, but I’d like to branch out a bit more.

Sometimes when I’m surfing the ‘net I’ll pin a place that I would like to visit, but I’ve never officially put together a bucket list. So I decided it was time to at least pick my top 10 places. (Here they are in no particular order, as they are all pretty fabulous in my book.)

  1. Those sound like amazing places!! I laughed when I saw the picture of Mumbai. It is a beautiful city, but that makes it look a lot cleaner than it really is. Don't get me wrong. I would love to go back. Maybe even live there. Just take lots of sanitizer and like most other countries, do not drink the water.

I hear you! We haven't taken a trip anywhere for a long time. Went to Virginia Beach for the day when we lived in Williamsburg and that was really fun. I think we will be going to Asheville in October when a friend comes for a visit. Really looking forward to that.
